Section 61A
Punishment for removing postal stamp
: If a post office employee or a person engaged in the transportation of stamps steals, removes, throws away or destroys a postage stamp attached to a postal item for the purpose of postage, he shall be fined up to one thousand rupees along with cancellation of such stamp.
